IGEM/UP/1B Edition 4 Update Training

The domestic tightness testing and purging standard, IGEM/UP/1B, was updated to Edition 4 in March 2026. Gas engineers are expected to have adopted the updated procedures by the end of September 2026.

To help engineers who are currently inbetween their 5-year reassessments, RAD Training is running special half-day training sessions that cover all the changes, including simple methods for calculating installation volume (IV) and purge volume (PV) and the new way permissible drops are determined.

The training also includes recent changes to other procedures including gas rating and checking working pressure at the meter.
